A little while ago I wrote about a new version of my eBay-Youtube-Adsense mashup script, here and here.
I won’t repeat everything about it here, except to say that it’s based on the free script I released last year and it uses Commission Junction product feeds as well as eBay and Youtube Adsense blocks. It also sports a different URL structure which improves SEO by creating deep links within the site (in fact a lot of my SERPs are getting double listing results because of this, one for the main page and one for a deep link).
I originally offered this new script as an early-adopter bonus for my Affiliate Mashup Store script.
I’m now offering it for sale on its own for $27.00.
If you’re interested in upgrading to the new script click here to learn more.

Hi, I finally got around to trying out the script, and it’s pretty cool
It runs fast and looks professional.. Couple questions though.. I can’t get youtube to run on the script..is there an updated code I can put in? Also, for Commission Junction do i need to sign up with the company for the products that are being displayed in order to receive commissions? Will I receive a commission if the user buys the CJ product, but I am not affiliated with that store?
Hope that makes sense!

Sorry one last question.. What code can I put into the script so that when a user clicks on a link, a separate window will appear?

Hey Ron,
I’m afraid my work PC has just been packed up to ship across to Australia, so I’ll have to help from memory for now.
Not sure what the youtube problem is, but sometimes it won’t show vids if it can’t find any relevant ones. Also check you’re not using adblocking sotfware on your browser or you won’t see it.
With CJ, it will ONLY display products from merchants you’ve already joined, so you don’t need to worry about not getting commissions for other merchants.
For opening in a new window you need to change links so just after the url it says target=_blank …you can’t set adsense links to do that, but the ebay code is I think found in index.php and the cj links are generated in prodlist.php
Hope that helps!

Thanks for the quick response! Maybe youtube has updated recently? I checked your smartphone & cinema audio demo sites, and the youtube screen say “sorry no videos”. I also tried experimenting on my site by putting in “iphone” for the topic, but still no youtube. Unfortunately, I can’t even get the youtube screen to show up.
On the topic of youtube, do you think there’s a code that would prevent users from opening a new window when they double click on the youtube video?
Thanks for the tips on the links and CJ. I’ll try those out. Good luck on your move to Australia!

Now the tube videos are working!

Hi Hugh, since Ebay has taken over the affiliate program from CJ how do we go about putting our new links into the script? Is it pretty much the same as it was with the cj PID?
Thanks.

Yes it’s very similar. You just need to use a campaign code from your ebay affiliate account; there’s a space for it in one of the setup files.

I must say, I like the free mash up. Downloaded script, uploaded it, got it looking like the rest of my site(ish), and a little bit of basic modding. 35 minutes from downloading it to going live.
A refreshing change from other mashups! I’ll certainly be interested in the paid version at some point.
Thanks mate!

Hi Huge,
I have a question about eBay-CJ-Youtube Mashup for sale.
Do you have time to customize it for me? I will provide all graphics and CSS. If you can, please email me.
Thanks.

You’re missing the index.php file.
