Front Page of Google

Haha, I did it.

Front page of Google.co.uk for the keywords Smartphone Review. It’s the last result on the page, mind, but not bad for… what, 4 days since it went live?

P.S. Goddamn, I hate tzping on a German kezboard.

    Thanks for your informative posts. How are you promoting smartphonereview? I noticed that it is ranked quite low at this time. Does it have anything to do with it being a mashup script? Thanks and good luck

    Actually it’s still ranked very high on Google’s UK site, google.co.uk

    It’s in 3rd position for ’smartphone review’ and second for ’smartphone reviews’.

    I understand on the main google.com site it’s ranked pretty low, but that actually benefits me since I only want UK traffic.

    I’ve finished promoting the site now. I originally posted links to it on various blogs I own, made a page or two on squidoo and hubpages, and didn’t do much else. I think a good part of its SEO comes from its internal links; every time someone uses the search box their query gets added as a permanent link on every page, which means any model of phone someone searches for instantly gets its own permanent page with dozens of links.
